"The Bird of Paradise is a flower I’ve long admired.  Stately, elegant and vibrant, this blossom just begs to become a quilt.   This is my version of this tropical beauty.   In this pattern, I’ve used a variety of prints to create dimension and visual interest.  I also like the double border that is part of the piecing design.   This flower is so large that it literally bursts through to the edges of the quilt."  Ann Shaw
